My Top Items For A Versatile Wardrobe This Season

              1. White Blazer | 2. Pink Skirt | Another option

There's nothing I love more than a truly versatile piece that once you buy it, the options are limitless in how many different ways it can be styled. These are 6 of my favorite new pieces that I've been adding to all my clients wardrobe this season, including mine.

1- The white blazer because you can wear it with jean shorts and heels and all of a sudden you just made jean shorts dressy

2- The pink skirt: it will take you from day to night by just switching out the flat day sandals for the heels at night.

3- The cropped jean vest: it's the perfect piece for maxi dresses, strapless dresses and  can be thrown over anything like a simple white tee and it will pull together your look effortlessly.

4- The classic white shorts: they can be worn to the beach with your bathing suit, to the park with a tee and for night time with a dressy chiffon shirt and a pair of stiletto pumps.

5- The jeweled flat sandals: these babies will be your saving grace for spring/summer because every time you get into the "what shoes am I going to wear with this mode?"...they will be right there sparkling at you and the style dilemma is solved.

6- The blue dress: this color and shade of blue will compliment everybody. It's pretty, classy and can be ready for office attire by adding a blazer and heels or can be worn at the park with your kids with a cropped jean vest and jeweled flats as a more casual look.

The most versatile pair of jeweled flat sandals are going to be those that have either all silver jewels, gold jewels or multi colored jewels like this pair of BCBGeneration pair. I got them in an all silver color last season and was thrilled to see a multi color option out now. Here they are, if you follow my Instagram account, then you have already seen my love for them.

You will see me personally style these items many different ways soon in upcoming articles. Hope everyone has had a great start to their week and always keep on smiling and styling.

Being Brunette & Styling Spring Blush Pink

Welcome to Spring everyone and as you can see my biggest change this season is deciding to go back to my natural brunette hair color. After spending half my life on & off as a blonde, I'm happy to say that I'm going to just stick with the hair color that God have me and I'll never have to worry about doing so much repair work on it and buying countless amounts of hair repair products because so much damage occurs with all the bleach and other chemicals that are put on hair during the whole highlighting process.

I'm content and at peace with who I am that I no longer feel like I have to be someone that I'm not, and I'm a real brunette. Every woman that has been processing their hair with bleach for a long time knows what I'm talking about when I say that you pay $100+ every 6 weeks to keep up the color/root maintenance and then so much more trying to repair the damage that occurs during your visits.

I've found that when you fix yourself from the inside first, you aren't so concerned anymore with changing your outer self so much. Being real and true to yourself is the most stylish thing of all. Now since I am a fashion/wardrobe stylist, I love seeing how amazing women can transform their confidence and self-esteem just by knowing that they have great outfits all ready to go in a personal Lookbook which I've created for them that they can refer and go to every time they need to get dressed.

Fashion for me has never been from the superficiality aspect of it but more from the notion that when you look good and feel good in what you are wearing you feel good about yourself and have an extra pep in your step and a new dash of confidence that might of not been there before. Also wearing clothes that truly fit you properly can change your entire mood for the day.

So moving on now to styling blush pastel pink for the spring, I like to mix it up with a tan blazer, black & brown color block heels, black bag and statement jewelry from my Chloe+Isabel by Alaina. Don't be afraid of soft pastel colors because once you add some neutral tones to it it's got a perfect blend of softness and business look to it. This is an example of a great work, church or dinner outfit and if you want to be more casual and the weather's warm then ditch the blazer and show those pastels off.

I've had clients who never wore much pastel or pinks and once I styled their look in new ways they found that these colors that really add to the versatility of their wardrobe. Wishing you all a terrific rest of your Thursday and I'll see you back here tomorrow for some Styling Tips on what items are best to buy for versatile wardrobe this season.

Three Floor Love Part 3 - The LPD

There's no other item of clothing that I can think of that makes you feel more feminine & dainty then that of a pink dress. When it comes to picking out the perfect pink dress for you, always keep in mind that finding a great fit is key just like with most items. Then look for fun details such as lace, eyelet & mesh since they really play up the beauty of the pink presence of the dress. It's no secret that pink has been my favorite color since I knew what colors were, but now I find myself being very picky about which pink pieces to add to my wardrobe.

This pink dress by Three Floor has all the genius behind it's design that the other two dresses you've seen me wear by them in this three part series on their dresses. I love that Rhythm Of Grace has all the Three Floor dresses your heart desires because it makes it a one stop shop for all your creative shopping needs! This would also make a perfect Valentine's dress also for all of you that are still shopping around for that perfect outfit for that day.

I like to style this with my absolute favorite earrings right now from my Chloe + Isabel which literally go with every single thing I've ever attempted to style them with. From a white t-shirt and jeans to this dress, these art-deco beauties are just pure perfection. The detail and craftsmanship of them make them more of an art piece then an accessorie. The bracelet that goes with it is also my go to piece for most of the outfits I've been styling lately. I wish you all a terrific Tuesday and I'll see you back tomorrow for some more sky style for your day with a new fitness article!

Pure Barre - The Intelligent Exercise

I was invited by my friend and fellow fab blogger Aileen of Newsy Parents to try out a new workout and was really looking forward to trying another form of working out that was brand new to me. Now since I used to do ballet when I was younger and do pilates 5 days a week I thought this workout would be a breeze. In all reality it actually ended up being much more then I though it would be.

I felt some areas that were being worked before that I don't think ever were to this extent as they were in this class. The way I judge if something worked and how well it worked is by how sore I am the next day. Well lets just say that it really really worked and my muscles were in full recovery mode the next day. That showed me that this workout really works quite amazing.

What it does & How it works -

Utilizing the ballet barre to perform small isometric movements set to fantastic music. Pure Barre is a total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs, abs, and arms, and burns fat in record- breaking time. By taking Pure Barre classes, you will burn calories and gain lean muscle. Its low-impact, isometric movements target and tone certain areas of your body, and your heart rate will go up and down depending on how hard you work.

Pure Barre is definitely the fastest, most effective, yet safest way to change your body. In just 55 minutes you will achieve a full-body workout concentrating on the areas women struggle with the most: hips, thighs, seat, abdominals and arms. The Pure Barre technique is low-impact, protecting your joints by avoiding any bouncing or jumping. Each strength section of the workout is followed by a stretching section in order to create long, lean muscles without bulk.

The technique works to defy gravity by tapering everything in and lifting it up! The concentration involved while taking Pure Barre allows you to block "life" out for the hour, creating the mental benefits similarly obtained by the practice of yoga or meditation. A transformed body and a clear head in just one hour—it really doesn't get much better than this!

The location we had the privilege of working out at is new to the Boynton Beach, FL area, located in the Sunshine Square shopping center anchored by Publix. They are having their Grand Opening on, Jan. 31 from 7-9 p.m. with raffle prizes. It is such an amazing place! You don't want to miss out! They are also offering a really cool special, called Free-Friend-Friday. On Friday's your friend can feel the burn for free!

On our Balancing & Concertrating game with these moves!

Some facts about Pure Barre -

- Pure Barre is the largest, most established barre franchise in the nation, with more than 180 studios across the country, and more opening every month. Pure Barre is a total body workout that utilizes the ballet barre to perform small, isometric movements, which burn fat, sculpt muscles and create long, lean physiques.

- Pure Barre was founded by dancer, choreographer and fitness guru Carrie Rezabek Dorr. Carrie opened her first studio in the basement of an office building in Birmingham, MI in 2001. With no initial clients, staff, signage or even a bathroom, Carrie successfully grew Pure Barre into the dynamic company it is today.

- In July of 2009, Pure Barre became a franchise and has exploded in popularity, due to its extremely effective technique (which transforms the shape of a woman’s body in record-breaking time); friendly, high-energy atmosphere; and fun, motivating music. Pure Barre is more than just a workout; it’s a lifestyle. At Pure Barre, women share a sense of community, in which they are inspired and empowered by each other’s fitness and lifestyle goals. Three Floor Love Part 2 - The Long Sleeve Style Dress

There is a reason why this dress was one of the most popular ones ever made by Three Floor and that's because it's cut to be extremely flattering on most body types. Also because like all their dresses, the precise placement of all the details on the dress make it into a pure form of art. The way I styled this dress here is definitely the cold weather version.

It also looks great by itself and with just a pair of high heel sandals and a black clutch, but that's not an option when the weather is at 50 degrees. And for us Floridians that's equivalent to about what 10 degrees is up north. So needless to say, the black tights needed to accompany this ensemble stat to keep my legs from totally freezing. Then I added a black fringe scarf and a black quilted leather jacket. The accessories were kept very minimal to a bold silver statement ring and a shiny pewter clutch.

Hope everyone's weekend is going great and I'll see you back here for part 3 of this Three Floor Love segment where I'll be styling The LPD aka the little pink dress also beautifully designed by them and also from the amazing Rhythm Of Grace boutique which I introduced you to last article. I also want to mention that I have recently just become a jewelry stylist for Chloe + Isabel Jewelry and for those of you who don't know about this incredible jewelry brand, I am so thrilled to be able to introduce you to it and start incorporating all their jewelry when styling my outfits for you. I am so in love with their stuff and I'm sure you will be too! You can also always shop with me at my online boutique here anytime at the Chloe + Isabel by Sky Style Couture Boutique. Happy Sunday & happy shopping!

Three Floor Love From The Rhythm Of Grace Boutique

When it comes down to exceptional details in a dress the designer at the top of my list is definitely Three Floor and the best boutiques have them available in an array of colors and styles. This specific Shades Of Blue beauty is from one of my new favorite places to shop at which is Rhythm Of Grace Boutique here in my hometown of Boca Raton. Located in beautiful Mizner Park, this gem of a place really has you covered for all of your outfit needs.

I love everything there so much that you'll be seeing many more fashion articles coming up of me styling their clothes. The owner of the boutique Rachel is extremely stylish herself and has an incredible eye when it comes down to picking the best pieces to carry in her store. The great thing about shopping at a boutique has got to be that all the pieces there have already been pre-selected and made to order and the owner's style is always reflected in the items they carry.

When I style pieces such as this dress, it's always a very simple process because the intricate details of the dress takes center stage and the accessories are kept very minimal with just a simple bracelet & a small gold clutch. Since it's really actually winter here now, it gets pretty cold at night so I added a tweed jacket to the dress and was ready to go. Coming up tomorrow on Friday I'll be styling the second version of this dress for you so have an amazing day and see you back here in style land!

XO,

Alaina

Oh the possibilities here are endless and the best part is they have an online boutique where you can get all the beauties that are in the boutique anytime! The pieces embody the effortless style of beauty, charm and elegance!

Earthy Tones Mix

There once was a time when I didn't quite know just how perfect mixing black & brown really is, and once I did it's been a favorite color combo for me ever since. The natural mix of combining black & brown makes it very chic, classy and fashion forward all while looking laid back and portraying a comfort/ease to it's wearability.

I like to take it a step farther by playing it up with mixing similar shades of leather browns and pairing them with a blush pink shirt and finishing the look with a blush pink & brown shimmer scarf. I love everything about neutral earthy colors and styling them all in so many ways by changing up the accent colors that they are paired up with. Hope everyone is having a great week so far and see you back tomorrow for another daily dose of style from yours truly!

Alaina

Winter White - Done Right

Knowing exactly what to wear with white in the winter time is what's going to make your look stand out from the rest and bring an aura of softness and comfort to any ensemble that you incorporate it in. This soft ivory color evokes "snowy" as much as it does warm and elegant. And since we're not going to see any actual real snow here in Florida anytime soon, might as well get a snowy feel by your outfit.

Now, I absolutely love an all white outfit and can be found wearing a white on white combination quite often in the spring/summer time, however now I think it's best look is paired with a very dark pair of fitted jeans, a neutral color top such as this tan crochet one and light neutral color shoes. The stilleto heels I added are a very soft buttery yellow color. Then adding an off white eyelet ivory blazer and a cognac brown bag to the look and  it's complete.

Rich brown shades look great because they bring out ivory's warmth. For a cool contrast, add a metallic gold bag or clutch with earthy brown accents. I finished the look by adding a long white & gold necklace, simple stud earrings and a statement jeweled ring with gold & earthy tones in it. So overall the colors that go best and compliment winter white are going to be navy, beiges, caramel browns, black, and gold accents/accessories. I wish you all an amazing week ahead and keep on styling & smiling!

How To Style A Summer Skirt In The Winter

Necklace by Bella Boutique in Boca Ivory Sweater | Gold & Black Curve Belt | Black Peplum Skirt | Lace Boot Socks | Boots | Celine Bag

My favorite weather is finally here in South Florida and I am really enjoying & savoring it while it lasts. Today at 65 degrees during the day was the ideal of a perfectly cool & crisp day for me. Since we never really get to put our summer clothes away for the winter here since it's only cool on certain days that are few and far between, I'm always wearing my summer pieces in addition to warmer ones to create a weather friendly ensemble.

This black peplum high waisted skirt is one that is usually worn with sandals or flip flops for the majority of it's life but today I added black leggings, ivory lacey boot socks, quilted boots, a sweater and pulled it all together by my favorite gold & black belt from Asos Online which I wear with just about the majority of my outfits since I got it back in September. A great accessory makes it easy to put the polishing touches on any look. I hope everyone had a great time with their family & friends for Christmas & the holiday season and I wish you all an incredible new year ahead!

Starting this year I am now writing an article that is featured in South Florida's Life & Style Publication : Simply The Best Magazine and invite you all to come read it here - Find The Ask Alaina article on page 20! Coming up shortly, I am exited to announce that I will be writing about and featuring local trendy and popular boutiques here from South Florida here on the blog.  If you are a local resident here, you can now know more about all the great personal shopping gems that are right around you and know more about them and the kinds of clothes/accessories that they have available in the stores & online.

I have found that there is something much more personal when shopping at a boutique then a big department store and the difference is that most of the pieces that are available to buy at a boutique are limited and therefore you will not ever have to encounter the issue of everyone wearing the same item you are. Also I have always found that styling and shopping with clients at these boutiques is always a great and relaxing time as compared to when styling them for outfits at the mall. I still love the mall and all the big stores but I've always particularly been a boutique girl myself. Have an amazing and beautiful weekend and I'll see you soon for a new You Tube video on the channel on Reviews of my favorite beauty products & recent finds which I am currently loving.

The accessories which I wear with just about everything include these three items. One being my new favorite bracelet which I got from my best friend for Christmas (she just happens to be the designer of it) and I am so in love with it that it hasn't left my wrist since I've put it on.

The Manifesto

I've been wanting to write this manifesto for a while now and like most things that I do, I must be in the frame of mind and mood that relates to what I'm doing. There is so much to life that I think we sometimes can forget just how simple and peaceful it's supposed to be. This fast paced world can cause us to lose ourselves and our peace at times and knowing what your values and beliefs are can be comforting and be the place that your contentment can be found in.

These are some of my favorite principles and ways of living that I love and try to do everyday. The most amazing thing about life is that there is always a new day tomorrow. A brand new day to start fresh and try again. It's never too late to do or accomplish anything in life, the only thing it takes is heart and love for what you are doing. Always remember that this life is a constant journey and not a final destination. Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday full of joy, peace & happiness.

Love You All,

Alaina

Chic Simplicity - How To Style Boyfriend Jeans

The most effortless and perfect go to outfit in my book consists of a great pair of jeans, a white top that's flattering to your body, a great bag and some classic heels. It's a look that is casual yet can still be glam & chic depending on the accessories that you add to it. Now styling boyfriend cut jeans is very simple actually because you build the look around the pants.

The jeans should be the most casual part of the outfit, the shirt can also be casual but in a cut that flatters and falls just about a few inches from the top of the jeans. The rest of the pieces should be as glitzy & glam as you want them to be because that will balance out the casualness of the outfit.

My favorite way to wear these pants has always been with a great pair of patent leather stilettos or a pair of high heel sandals for summer. Wedges also go well as long as they are on the dressier side. Hope you're all having a magnificent week and see you soon!
